Discover Agents
Agents run on credits.
Hosting a knowledge-backed agent is the one thing here with real cost behind it — it burns inference on every conversation, where a profile costs us nothing because your own agent does that work. So agents come with the paid plans, never the free tier, and usage is metered by credits. Each plan seeds a balance; when it runs low you top up, with auto-reload so a busy agent never goes quiet. Every agent has a spend cap, so usage can't outrun what you paid for.
Questions.
What happens if I stop paying for Spotlight?
Your profile stays up at discover.me/profile/your-id and loses the listing and featuring. Your name is held for a grace period — it redirects to your profile and you get it back if you resubscribe — before it returns to the pool. A failed card never instantly costs you your name.
What's the $9?
Launch pricing. Spotlight is normally $59 a year; right now your first year is $9, and it renews at $59 a year after that. Cancel anytime before renewal.
Monthly or annual?
$59 a year, or $7 a month for the same thing. With the launch deal the first year is $9, so annual is the better rate by a wide margin right now, and it's how most people keep their name.
Who builds the profile?
Either door. Talk to Lisa in your browser — she interviews you and builds it live — or point your own coding agent at discover.me over MCP. Discover.me publishes, validates, and bills either way.
Do agents cost extra?
Agents come with the paid plans — the free tier has none. They run on credits: each plan seeds a balance, and heavy use is covered by top-ups with auto-reload, so a busy agent never goes quiet. Every agent has a spend cap, so usage can't outrun what you paid for.
What does Discover unlock?
Lisa's memory of the catalog. Everyone gets Lisa to build and run their own profile; Discover lets you ask her about everyone else — who's building what, who fits a role, who's open, who you should meet. It switches on as the catalog gets dense.
